Kvadrat is a leader in textile design and innovation. Founded in Denmark in 1968, the company has grown into a global supplier of sustainable, high-quality textiles and textile-related products for architects, designers, and consumers.
At Kvadrat Weaving in Winterswijk, we produce over 700,000 meters of high-quality curtains, upholstery fabrics, and carpets annually, all manufactured sustainably and in an environmentally friendly manner. We collaborate with the world's leading designers and creative talents to develop textile products that enrich people's lives.

Our production facility is spacious and equipped with a wide range of weaving machines. This enables us to weave using specialized techniques such as Jacquard and Dobby.
During the weaving process, the warp and weft form the building blocks for the patterns. To guarantee the best quality of our textiles, we ensure that the indoor climate is always optimal during weaving. We achieve this by, among other things, regulating the humidity levels in the factory.
Thanks to the diversity of our machines, we have been able to set up a variety of production lines. Each machine has its own specific production characteristics, which allows us to respond quickly to special requests. Our flexible and market-oriented approach has made the weaving mill successful for decades.
Yarns as a base
Yarns are the most important raw material for producing high-quality curtains, upholstery fabrics, and carpets. The yarns we use form the basis of all our products and are purchased from suppliers who are strongly committed to sustainable production methods and meet strict environmental requirements.
Development and technology go hand in hand at Kvadrat Weaving. Our product development team and operators develop and weave with a keen eye for trends, developments, and the latest innovations. During the production process, we incorporate important product requirements such as UV stabilization and flame resistance.
The variations in the weaving process are determined by the number of warp and weft threads. By applying specific tension to the warp threads, a weaving pattern is created.
The climate conditions can be adjusted at any time to guarantee the best quality of the yarns. This ensures that our fabrics are of the highest quality.
Specific trends or applications are always the starting point during production.
To guarantee the production of high-quality carpets, we use smart tufting processes and specialized techniques.

From Gaudium to Kvadrat Weaving
Kvadrat and Gaudium have had a close collaboration since Gaudium was founded in the 1980s. In 2018, Kvadrat acquired Gaudium with the aim of establishing its own production division. Since May 2022, Gaudium has continued under the name Kvadrat Weaving.
The traditional values of craftsmanship, sustainability, and innovation have made Kvadrat Weaving a leader in the professional textile market.
